Agreed. Nice car with original parts and few issues. Wrong venue?

 a lot of 65's for sale in this beginining of the year ...the buyer has a good car for a good price !

Looks like a few weeks of detailing and a few parts could have brought this car back up to concours standards.

No... The hammer price was $350k or $385K with the buyers premium  8)

I don't believe that Gooding & Co is the best venue to sell your Shelby. I have noticed for years that cars selling at Goodings & RM Sotheby's seem to consistently hammer for less. Their sweet spot appears to be Euro sports cars & classics... IMHO.
