Love it!! And George Huisman's car.
out of curiosity why do you say that? Was it a car he built? The Ebay handle and location I don't think are Georges. Thanks.

Reply #7 mentioned Georges tastefully modified car, "re-spec'd"(his term), 69 GT-500 Gulfstream Aqua/white interior/4 speed, & I am a big fan of it.

I'll bet the $25k jump might have something to do with the the prices obtained at Mecum Kissimmee 2021

I believe the aqua car you are referring to was done for a guy who I graduated from HS with. Chet C. It was brought to my attention that he got the car a few months after I saw George posting it. Beautiful car. T

Restomod means something different to a lot of people.

I am a Day 2 guy, by my definition, this is Day 4. I too like it very much.

And it is a change of pace.
Very true. I define restomod as new chassis (or things like subframes & IRS etc added) powered by a new late model electronic controlled drivetrain. There is nothing that isn't "bolt on" on that car. Even the original paint color. It would be very easy for someone to make this a day one car. His price reflects the simple fact that hiring all those people to do the mods for him runs the bill up. I'd love to see a whole row of day 2 cars at any show. There is no need to have any more than 1 "factory fresh" restoration at any show.

Our shop was where most of the build was done on Georges 69 gt500. It turned out really good and we made all panels and gaps line up much better than factory specs. Custom made supsension was installed on car also. It was debuted and SEMA last year.. and displayed at MCCAN and won awards

We all know that prices are set by drunken millionaires at Barrett Jackson.

Well that is a good feeling for many..... To say I am going home with that car period! Whats even more fun is when a couple of guys say that about the same car-  Whoa BABY look out. ;D

The aqua one in the pic I posted Chris? I know all too well on the 69 fit. We had to narrow the deck lid on my car only at the spoiler end so the end caps didn't overlap the quarters(all factory original). We re-cut all the fender to door gaps. I think my car fits really well now on the fiberglass gaps.

Thanks Chris. I was at my niece's wedding last fall and my bro-in-law's 2 brothers showed me pics of the car and told me Chet got it. I knew it looked familiar and saw it posted on Georges FB page when he delivered it to Chet a few months earlier. I still need to get with you still on a filter element but am waiting until I come back from Vacation. Gary
