While I am a big fan of both cars I find it amazing how the discussion has changed on them.

They went from "what is it lab rats" to the "father of the breeds DNA".

I'd have to think this is because of Jackson's ability at promotion? After all, essentially, that is what he does.

I remember when the "fliptop Cobra" was called the "turd" and no one wanted it. Now it's a museum piece and the "pearl of great worth"?

I'm concerned because of all this that my family is preparing to do something like that with me? I wonder if I'm going to get "stuffed" and put on display or just put in a cage? Hum?  ::)

I'd expect that in the case of the cage though that a sign would need to be posted to keep a safe distance from the "subject". He can get vicious?

I too am proud to have been a behind the scenes part of BOTH cars. Besides Pete , Jason and his father Gerald were wonderful to deal with. Our Tim Lea also played a part in these cars restorations. Self serving or not Craig did a very nice job on both presentations. Jason's work is top notch.

I agree a lot of people made those burnouts happen. Jason was an excellent choice and he's just a darn nice guy too. So many of the people like Mr Lea and Randy made contributions.

The Green Hornet would not be running if not for Illinicane aka, Jose, and 1968 car #101. These things are all related.

They could have made both of these programs longer with all the stuff they have.

I would like to see more of Little Red in 1968 Shelby trim 🙂

Brian is correct there are a lot of great videos on the Barrett Jackson website.

Pete your DEDICATION to making the Green Hornet what it is now is beyond words. Beating the performance of a carburetor with a 50+ year old system is really an accomplishment!

Let's not get greedy now! It is largely know as a '67 and if I'm not mistaken originally had center mount lights.

Are you the one going around sticking CONELEC medallions on everything like the Easter Bunny hiding chocolate eggs for the kids to find?

I have no issues with Jackson promoting these cars. "A rising tide floats all boats". Without him it's POSSIBLE both would exist in relative obscurity?

That was a good day. But, the glory needs to go to Mr E David Long and family.

One quick story...

I knew Mr Long several years before he passed away . One day after he passed, his daughter called me and said it was house cleaning time. Anything not removed was destined for the big dumpster.  I think she was a bit surprised and happy to learn I would make the 1100 mile trip to save everything from the Conelec company.

She gets great credit. As should my father who decided he was a car guy for that week. Without those two, we are still wishing these cars could ever be restored.

What would I stick them on? That would disqualify me from Randy's criteria!
