CSX 3015, the ex-Carroll Shelby Supersnake, was  sold for $5 million tonight. The price wasn't as much of a surprise as was the fact that a vintage SAAC member signed for it - Jim Wicks. I look forward to hearing the rest of the story.

Barrett Jackson has probably put 2.5+ million in its coffers from selling 3015 the past 3 times.

They have been the big winners in al of this. I'm wondering now if cars like this could only be sold at a big auction setting?

That is a good point.  Ron could have still owned it.  Craig made the comment that the car had been in his garage and said "all we did was polish it"

They pickup and store a lot of the high dollar cars for months to make sure they are there for the event and to do the promos. Sometimes they also include getting stuff running and detailed for cars that have been sitting - an extra fee and probably done by a sub contractor company (also owned by BJ though).

Are any o the cars in a museum setting for public display during the year or are they kept hidden?
