Tech information help please,,,,, ,,, thank you in advance !!!!!
 1969 Shelby GT 500,,, 12 17 1969 built date,,, what is the correct shock for the frt and rear of the car,, what is the correct color and what  is the chances of finding set correct shocks???   any options for a shock,,,  Currently has a set of fake orange colored  Koni  shocks  .

Bob ,the shocks are the same as used on 68.The color was blue. If it was a 4 speed GT500 the rear shocks were the non adjusable Ford Mustang shocks painted black. That was due to the staggerd shocks on a 4 speed GT500.  The Ford engine dark blue is a very close match on the 68/69 blue ones. It wasn't until the end of March 69 that the engineering number changed to a C9ZX and also the color changed to white. If you can't find any I have a set of originals (autos or 4 speed) . Is the build date actually 12/17/69 and not 68?

Are u going by the date stamped on the 70 shelby invoices stamped on the rh  bottom lower side of 70 invoices if so that is the date  the 70 shelbys left the KK plant & all are fall 69 dates.

My bad,,,, ,, the production date is 1968,,,,, im a dumb ass,, lol,,,  IT IS 1968,,, It was a late night and i was tired,,, No drins involved,,
 And Ed, no ,, im not stamping any forms , lol
