Rich, coming back to this, when I found those photos, I also posted them on a French forum "Auto Diva" back then, 2014, at that
time it was "suggested" note the quotations ! that this car is P/1037, X Comstock, driven in events in '66-'67 by Eppie Wietzes.
the info in my 4th edition of the registry, makes sense in that the car was shown at different Ford dealers in Canada '69-'70.
Just for reference here's a photo of P/1037s engine from the other side, that I took at Mosport, Ontario, Canada in 1966, I think
June.

I'm discussing this with the registrar.
He pointed out the door window was masked off to show a lighter paint color around the perimeter.
The lighter color would be the same as the P/1037 in prior racing years.
(waiting for more comments back from him)

Doug ,
The valve covers are correct "endurance racing" GT40 valve covers for the 289 head. The huge baffles are designed not to let oil seep out , but let crankcase pressure out.

Looks like regular 289/302 valve cover with an added oil breather/catch can added.

Thanks Randy & 98SVT, I always wondered what the purpose of those baffles/catch cans was.
Rich here's another shot of P/1037 in the pits at Le Circuit, Mt. Tremblant/St. Jovite in June '67.
Shelbydoug, that photo also shows those Mirage/BRM style wheels that you pointed out.
