For reference: here’s a picture of the upper radiator house from this exact car.
Wow , that mistake pinching off the radiator hose will no doubt have a negative effect with cooling.

As usual the visible signs and workmanship often suggests how well other details were addressed.  Don't understand how this one got past the builders or why they would have let such a choice be made. Maybe the car was rushed too much to get it done and to the auction

It won't matter 'cause buyer and seller will be uninformed. Just as long as buyer and seller are happy, that's all that counts. ;)
