TransAm or NASCAR???

Mustangs and Camaros - tube frames - carbonfiber bodies - 12" centerlock wheels.

TransAm series from 40 years ago? Nope 2022 NASCAR. They say their will be more road courses too. SCCA should sue.
NASCARs big $$ maker is that they will be the sole source of chassis and body. With teams running through up to 30 cars a season it should be a great payday. GoodYear stock should also go up with all the tires the carbon fiber shards will cut up after each crash.

Here is the 1982 Zack Speed IMSA car and the 1985 Fox TA car. Basically the same cars under the skin.

I remember seeing the Motorcraft 65 car racing in vintage at Road America a few times.  Quite the car!
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"
