How dare you ask - - - Just because he doesn't give the Shelby production number? He does note "This Shelby has also been signed by Carrol Shelby on the Glove box."  CS wouldn't sign a fake.
It also seems to have had the very rare factory installed tape LeMans stripes.
He gives you a photo of the inside of the trunk lid but not of the Shelby tag or under the hood.
Did you message the seller to ask this question? There aren't enough photos/info to tell.

There is what appears to be a shelby tag under the hood on two pictures, he gives the VIN number, it has a door tag.

I meant a real ad and not whether the car in the pics was real. My friend asked me as he felt in todays market that car was extremely cheap at it's BIN. Gary

One can ask the same question here also. This car has quite a ebay re-list-ville history....

The difference is that the vert appears to be a steal price wise. I could look it up in one of my many registries so it isn't that it it could not be a real car but a real ad? Hit BIN. Send the grand and lose a grand....

I think its irresponsible to go about this in the manner done here.

There is no indication anything is wrong

What if a note under the cars history now appeared in the registry that read

"In Nov 2021 the authenticity of this car was questioned on the saacforum"

I started this topic. Please read reply #5. I see nothing wrong with this. So to be clear again it isn't the car itself but the ad and I'm sure there are forum members in that area who may know of the car, selling dealer, etc. I asked for a copy of the title. I have a friend who I am trying to help on this who is a serious buyer if the car is real. I do not think this topic would have any bearing on this car at all. I also just changed the topic heading as the heading could be misleading but the discussion isn't.
