This example dated 7 65 does have the raised stamping showing the application code. C4ZE  G2. Found a fair number of these on very late 65's in my records.

I'm guessing this in reference to Mustangs or maybe carryover cars, not '65 GT350's?  The last batch arrived on June 26th at Shelby American... those that ended up with '65 SFM numbers.

Just in reference to radiators made at Western Modine. How that detail aligns with cars shipped to Shelby is a related but different matter

Hi TLea,
Please educate us on what is not original.  Side by side photo's help a lot.
Thanks
Cory
Joephil beat me to it. Look at embossings on header bucket and lower tank

I'm surprised there hasn't been a short-run of brass tank tops. A G2 W-MO 4-65 would sell briskly at that price, I wouldn't doubt somebody could sell 100 of them. Who knows??
Trust me its been looked into by more than 1 person (besides me). In order to be viable you'd have to create the whole radiator.

Thanks for everyone for sharing the differences, always learning!

Here are some pictures to compare.
The seller had specified that the lower tank was an automatic tank on which he had removed the oil cooler.

Thanks Joe for the photos.

I was aware of the bottom tank but did not pick up on the header bucket issue. Looks like trying to fit an OE style top hose will be awkward, if doable at all.
