I just bought rims for 69 Shelby, fairly good price, need to be recromed, still a good deal, however how can I determined difference between reproduction and original thanks

Unfortunately, the bad part is you must sacrifice either the rims or the centers to have new chrome unless you have 2 sets of wheels. :(

Deja vu all over again as Yogi Berra used to say....

Original were glued in.
Then there was a recall.
Then they were riveted.
I'm not sure what the timeframe is on all that.

I'd guess if they need re chrome-ing that they are old but impossible to tell without a photo really.
