1967 door hinges
« on: December 04, 2021, 08:14:23 AM »
This post was made today, regarding nos door hinges for a 1967.
http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=17159.0;topicseen

I went into the good old shed and looked at a door I have that came off a early 1967>> mustang.
it has the steel type hinge as shown in this thread topic, but the bottom hinge is more similar to a 65-66 lower hinge with the arm and pin.
What gives?
btw, the door has original paint, as well as the hinges
Respectfully,
John

John, yes there was a Ford running change on door hinges on the '67 Mustangs.

The early '67 cars had cast upper and lower hinges and later the upper hinge was changed to a stamped steel type, but the lower remained cast.

I think (others will know better) that the lower stamped steel version was a '68 thing.
