Some Barrett-Jackson Auction results....
« on: January 21, 2018, 10:47:19 AM »
All prices represent the hammer price PLUS 10% buyers premium.

My opinion is auction results represent a price higher than full retail.

1966 # 001   $ 605,000

1968 #2402   KR Convertible with Concours History $220,000
        #1183   GT350 FB      $ 82,500
        # 2329  KR FB           $ 203,500
        # 4154  KR FB           $218,900
         Red / GT350 Convertible   $ 115,500

1969        GT500 FB   $ 56,100

I'm telling ya - 68s look to be hot at both Mecum and BJ this month.

Might be a stupid question, but I wonder if the 50th Anniversary of these cars is making a difference in price?
Nothing beats a classic!

I don't know you will have to ask the owner.   ;)

While the math is easy to do, Barrett Jackson posts all sales prices on all the cars they advertised pre-auction in Hemmings. The prices are posted without buyer's premium. I like that. Prices, in general, seem not to be on the way up for most muscle type cars.  Demographics, IMHO, are beginning to play a role. And given that young people generally prefer electronics to Horseflesh (Brad speak for cars!), we have fewer people one year to the next entering our hobby. Heck I am 57 so I know about that! :) Later cars, like Trans Ams acting better relative to earlier cars, as their demographic correspondingly younger.  Resto-mods are HOT, and for real, but that is a market I don't claim to understand, & admit that I don't even have a clue about! Pickups and SUV's HOT also.  My two cents.
