What's considered correct on the underdash gauges screws or no screws on the center vertical trim piece?

My cars original gauge pack has zero holes in the trim piece nor the rally pack bracket? Zero! It's never been off the car that I can tell. All the repo stuff and even the assembly drawings show screws. Which is considered "correct"? I've seen plenty with zero screws but 3 times more with screws?

Thanks! Matt

Both styles are correct. Depends on when the car was built at Shelby. Just one of a ton of running changes (both Ford and Shelby) that year.

Change over would not be a specific car or date but more of a soft transition since cars were not completed in order and no one was paying attention to which version they grabbed

Long thread posted last year found by using the search tool and the words "67 guage pod" other word combinations could have been used also

That is out of the ordinary given by the time 1594 was built maybe a thousand cars had already passed that transition time when the screws became a typical production practice. We may never know for sure.

Thanks everyone!! Great answers and verification. My car has a bunch of unique items that seem "out of place" compared to the norm. Definitely makes it more interesting and a challenge too. I appreciate the responses and links! You guys are awesome! 👍👍👍

After thorough research and compelling information, I've determined THIS is what is actually correct for my car! Four is always better than two! 😝

^^^ I was debating whether or not to post that here, I was afraid of dragging that into this forum ;-)

Yeah and Jerry (the owner) will tell you he thinks it was original...... just like the shifter boot trim piece with the Ace hardware screws.......

Now the seller Jerry is saying they are 'period correct' and an 'enhancement'......

First time I saw the "Quad Gauges", I thought I was seeing double and maybe had a brain tumor or something...

Your showing your age . When I used that reference when talking about a auction description in a text recently with one of the younger members of our Forum who will remain nameless but name starts with a V , he made fun of and corrected my spelling . He had no clue. LOL
