As I said before, I believe hydrogen will overtake battery. And why not use clean hydrogen to create more hydrogen.

Hydrogen was studied very thoroughly in the late 1990's when Congress gave automakers a ton of cash to do that.

To make hydrogen you need a buttload of electricity and a buttload of natural gas. The end product is highly pressurized, flammable and dangerous. As one Toyota engineer told me at the time "It's basically a more complicated and expensive way to burn natural gas and electricity".

As there is no benefit to it, I don't see any future to hydrogen powered anything other than bombs or power plants.
