Having new exhaust installed and would like to know how far should the tips extend beyond an uncut valance? Thanks

The tips are designed to work with the original exhaust turn outs that have a contoured outlet. The exhaust pipes that turn back or out from the transverse are a regular Mustang duel exhaust part. The Shelby tips are designed to be pushed on as far as they will go and stop because of the contour of the pipe. On a original exhaust you push them on as far as they will go and clamp them and you are done. On a after market exhaust it doesn't work that way  because the pipe typically does not have the contour made into it. If working with a after market exhaust others will have to help with the measurements. Click on the link I am posting for Scott Fullers website who sells exact like factory replacement exhaust and pieces.https://www.scottfullerreproductions.com/catalog/item/4595229/9563590.htm

You will not a find a finer original looking and fitting system than Scott Fuller's products.  His is essentially bolt in.  Others you will fight with to get them to fit.

No uncut valance was used on a 67 Shelby. There are two types of valance used on 67 Shelby. The earlier style had a half moon opening cut out of the valance and most typical a modified 65 66 GT exhaust trim to finish off the opening or the later 67 duel exhaust valance with the openings made into it.
