These are starting at $249,000.

In my opinion, they will never be a '67 Shelby. I don't mean to nit picky. Its a clone/replica, whichever term you prefer, of the original car of which there is only one.

"The 1967 Shelby Super Snake continuation cars will use 1967 donor Mustangs and include a Shelby serial number for the official Shelby registry."  I don't approve of that either.

Absolutely sacrilege. Whoring out vin numbers simply waters down the value of our original cars.  It's all about the dollar. not the love of the vehicles.

I  am  well aware of that..... what I want to see is a pic of  an actual copy of their Registry... 8)

Well I was going to eventually return my 67 GT500 to its original color of Wimbledon white but am now rethinking my strategy....It wouldn't be fair to the owners of these new cars if my tired 50 year old mustang was mistaken for one....Especially since they dropped 250 large for the privilege of getting into such an exclusive club....... ::) ::) ::)(oh well, back to the royal wedding planning)

Both cars might be real Shelbys (by license), but only one is original.  8)

Precisely. Carroll Shelby has absolutely nothing to do with this production, design or otherwise.  I also will not recognize their registry, as it does no more than attempt to legitimize piss-poor builds by essentially anyone who can pony up a few thousand to use the name.

Already a thread on this.

Mine was first...so there.

No biggie but you might want to check that.

I was joking around with Brian  :D

I'm sure when you search the dictionary for the correct word, "continuation" allows you to up the price.  No, copy, clone, or tribute isn't a multiplier....enough.

And no, these will not devalue the real ones built at the airport in L.A. to the folks who know what is real.
