Hood scoop screen

Is the middle scoop supposed to have a screen?

No screen in middle scoop.

#983 also is a red hood, with the same center screen, attached with a bolt and wingnut underneath the hood. May have been an over the counter item?

More like a backyard mechanic.

+1 .  There is not a over the counter item like that listed in any of the Shelby catalogs.

My 69 survivor does not have this screen and I had the same question, I even thought about making my own screen with a similar mesh.

I'm glad I came across this post !
