My #850 was built on Jan27 1969 (scheduled for the 31st). Were the 70s rebadged with new build dates (if so, maybe that's the reason they got the chin spoiler & hood stripes)?

98SVT - was 06GT

They got stripes and chin spoilers because it's a sin for American car companies to sell the same car 2 years in a row. A lot of places in Europe you'll see the first year sold as being the year of the car not the build date.

It would be interesting to see a chart/graph of builds per month (maybe not just 69-70s). Looks like Ford cranked out 500-600 in January 69. Was that a good month or an average month or........

The last shelby was a  yellow 70 gt500. scj 4-speed from gotham ford and back years ago i thought i found the car having a color change but wrong serial #.  I found. 2.  70 yellow gt500 scj 4 speeds that both never ended up being 3295 and they  both came from gotham ford . We had the last gt350  in our shop doing some improvements before it sold to john atzbach  collection  and it was a yellow car also.
