10 Spoke Wheels
« on: June 03, 2022, 02:11:36 PM »
Five of these wheels have been stacked in my garage forever.  Looks like they were bead blasted at some point.  Using the "Coralsnake" website, assume they are version 2 with no part number?  Is there any interest in these anymore?

Are you sure there is not a part number deep in one of back of the spokes?

They look like 1st version to me.

Following "1175" directions, got all 5 of the wheels out in the sun light and found the casting numbers shown in the included photos.  Guess these wheels are version 1 as described on the "Coralsnake" website.  Thanks for your assistance.

I had a feeling.  They look awfully close to my originals.

I just had mine refinished and they look spectacular!

Not sure of the market, but 5 originals have to be worth something.

Faces and rims were machine cut.

The factory condition was as Jon described for his wheels, faces and rims were machine cut .  The 67 Shelby ten spokes were not polished from the factory. That is something previous owners do. That is the way I have found on the many original and NOS examples that I have seen and examined over the last 50 years or so. I have seen countless that were polished which is what we did starting in the early 70's . When the machining started to oxidize it was much easier to polish. No one thought about how original it was back then just that it looked shiny.
