There was a Nightmist Blue GT500 at the "FT Lauderdale Car Auction" 1/6/2018.
Factory AC car
I'm still trying to get the ID number. It may have been in the #2550's.

What was the result?

They didn't list it. Hopefully it will be added soon on that collector car website (I forget the name) that tracks auction results. If it is, I will post.
Here's a link to the photos and auction listing.

Ah, I am aware of that car, after reading the description, I got the impression the seller felt the car was worth 3400 lbs of gold.   ::)

Why yes , Michael, I would say 3400 lbs. of gold is about right......LOL!!

Have you considered bit coin? That goes over big in China.
68 GT350 Lives Matter!

Adriano Puma S.

The only 67 Gt350 i saw for sale during last 2 weeks ( Kissimee and Scottsdale) was the 4 speed air car Brittany at Worldwide auctioneers car number #2007 if i recall.

98SVT - was 06GT

I think they stayed home because restomod is where BJ money is today. No longer the crowd to sell anything less than a 110% original or one of car.

Might be , at BJ it's always a big gamble anyway plus many ppl scared of the no reserve! On the other hand there were plenty of 68 shelbys , and KR's have been surprisingly done well at BJ ( even though quality of some cars absolutely not top notch)

Prices are up this year, after milling about most of the auctions and coffee spots-shows in the local vicinity a few deals were had without the 10 percent buyers fee, 10 percent sellers fee, shipping fees, and listing fees... Few   they add up quick! 150k each  for a 350 auto on 2 different cars is what I heard from both new owners, congratulations to both of them hopefully they come on board and join the party here! A good time was had by all, see you at some events this year. :)

Mr Puma: use A/C for air conditioning as "air" car has a different meaning here.  Thanks.

Adriano,

You certainly have nothing to apologize for.  'Air cars' is a term used in this hobby to describe a vehicle thats history is doubtful.  More specifically, when an entire car is assembled from one piece of an original Shelby.  Like finding a Shelby Vin Plate and building an entire Shelby from it.  Conversely, sometimes an original car could have sustained damaged, like an original Cobra being raced and having a significant amount of its body work replaced due to an accident.  Years later, someone 'finds' the discarded parts and decides to build a Cobra out of them.  Now you have an 'air car'.  This phenomenon isn't limited to Shelbys.  Ferraris and Jaguars suffer with the same affliction, as I'm sure many other Marques do.
Thanks,

ot: understood, so a term which stretch is  " rebody " I guess .. didnt know about this english " air " terminology .. good to know ..

"Air" cars can describe a car made with no original parts. Just a shortened American "made out of thin air" I believe

There is a full definition in the registry
