Lack of 1967's at BJ and Mecum Auctions

Does anyone else find it interesting that there seems to have been no 1967's for sale at both Barrett Jackson and Mecum auctions this January?  Perhaps 1967's are becoming hyper-collectable, bypassing 1966's, 1965's and dare I say even Cobras in value?  They've become so valuable that literally no one wants to sell one.
;D

67 are like bitcoins you need to hold them to keep value  ;D

I noticed that also....curious to see down the road if that is a trend,,,

Obviously, that was tongue in cheek.  But it is still interesting. Maybe with it being the 50 th anniversary of the '68s, that's where sellers/buyers heads are?  Ruben mentioned to me that he noticed a pretty nice up tick in selling prices for '68s at Mecum.

I have read prices are up across the board.

Nothing helps as much as hearing the economy is good.  🤔

I'm still trying to get the ID number. It may have been in the #2550's.

I know this is the 67 thread...and, Brian is right.  I couldn't believe how well 68s did at Mecum Kissimmee, especially given their condition (hopefully, no one on here sold or bought one from this auction, or this might be my last post 8))!!
Nothing beats a classic!

I had my 67 Sleeping Beauty- at some of the gathering places near the auctions like the PAVILLIONS near it all. Had at least 95 inquiries Is it for sale? Asked about our cars and their was a few that sold like auctions America GT 350 sold for a buck fifty all in with fees. Good times were had by most as usual,if you dig cars this was the place to be!!! :)

And for people looking for a 67-350 there are fewer of them than 66's.
Even if you take the Hertz cars out of the equation there are fewer 67 small block cars.

More likely there were no cars that were "acceptable to BJ"? Values seem to swing back and forth on them. No one will even make a commitment in writing as to what they think the value of the car is?

"Some" are blaming the "over estimate of value" on BJ auctioneers themselves? Sounds like political foot hopping to me?

It's going back to when you want to buy it, it's worth a zillion. When you want to sell it, "I'll give you $800 and a 75 Pinto?"

Heck, I was on the fence about making the trip. If I would have known you were going to have your car out there that fact would have put my deciding factor of doing a trip over the top to come given the auctions and Marcus's open house. Dang

Bob   That would have been fun to meet up, there were quite a few Shelby junkies I spoke with from all over the planet. This is THE place to be in January to see everyone escaping harsh weather conditions, their ol ladies, work, and anything else they need a break from. I hope to be in Nor Cal for the 68 50 year party!  We all confirmed almost daily if you were there, THAT you could confirm the CORRECTNESS on most of the JUNK that rolled in to town  for that most exciting week. Be well my friend- :)

They didn't list it. Hopefully it will be added soon on that collector car website (I forget the name) that tracks auction results. If it is, I will post.
Here's a link to the photos and auction listing.
