I would thought CSX 2000 would have sold for more.  It's probably better that Shelby isn't around to see this anyway.

Agreed on thinking that CSX2000 would've sold for more $$ than it did.

IMO, it is a more historically significant car than that particular Ferrari.

When we were putting together the 50th Anniversary of Motor Trend issue in 1999, we chose CSX2000 as the most significant single car of the past 50 years.

If the first Cobra hadn't been successful in doing everything it did, just think of all the successor cars that wouldn't have been created (not just Shelbys and Fords, but all around the industry and aftermarket) all the influence on racing, and who knows what the hell all of us would be doing with our free time all these years.
Current:
2006 FGT, Tungsten. Whipple, HRE 20s, Ohlin coil-overs. Top Speed Certified 210.7 mph.

Kirkham Cobra 427.  482-inch aluminum side-oiler. Tremec 5-spd.

Previous:
1968 GT500KR #2575 (1982-2022)
1970 Ranchero GT 429
1969 LTD Country Squire 429
1963 T-Bird Sport Roadster
1957 T-Bird E-model

My "neighbor"  bought that car...lives 2 blocks away from me.

No joke.

Bigfoot

That kind of pimp money for a car doesn't hurt anyone with something as cool as a Shelby.

So that means the car should be full of rust by next spring.   :o
