Not many clues -Where is this?

A picture of a new car sent to me by Mitch. There seems to be a covered or enclosed glass walkway behind the car. Does anyone recognize the dealership from that single clue?

Bill

Reviewing the picture and the background carefully, I'm thinking a campus (school or business) of some type and not an actual dealership. The fellow driving the tractor, behind the cougar is the first clue, the landscaping to the left and behind that is the other. Perhaps an exposition center of some type.

Some type of all Ford Motor Company display - stockholder meeting? Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Tractor. I was thinking maybe the concrete structure above the Lincoln was the Ford monorail between Fairlane Town Center and the Hyatt Regency but that wasn't built until the mid 70s.
1968 Ford stockholder meeting was in Detroit - couldn't find location or report
1968 Ford Canada stockholder meeting was in Oakville, Ontario - https://digital.library.mcgill.ca/images/hrcorpreports/pdfs/6/635614.pdf

Very cool photo.  8)

I'm also thinking not a dealership but maybe a building on the Ford Dearborn campus based on the building style and landscape?

Looks very similar to the old Ford Development Center. Or it could be anywhere else.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like Ford HQ. It looks like the Ford motor Credit building on the right through the glass

Looks to me like the Ford Hemisfair display in San Antonio, TX. The built a special Rotunda for the fair. If it is the Hemisfair this is the only color photo I have seen of the display.

dont think it was a dealer as ford rarely let a ford dealer combine with mercury and lincoln.

The Ford Motor Company Pavillion at the Hemisfair in 1968 combined Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Shelby products.

There are a lot of combined Ford/LM dealerships - generally in rural areas. Lincoln has been trying to get all of them to separate from the owners Ford stores.

Near us we have Advantge Ford and Advantage LM - on the same lot with separate new car showrooms but combined service department, used car lot and sales staff.

HERE IS A PHOTO OF #01396 TAKEN AT THE '68 HEMISFAIR. THIS SHELBY ALONG WITH #01394 AND #01395 (MY DAD's SHELBY) WERE BUILT EXACTLY THE SAME. IN THE PHOTO SENT FROM MITCH, FORD WANTED TO IMPRESS SOMEONE WITH THEIR DIVERSIFIED LINE UP OF FORD, LINCOLN AND MERCURY VEHICLES. THE PHOTO SURE LOOKS AS THOUGH IT COULD BE AT SOME MICHIGAN FORD FACILITY ON A WARM HUMID MID SUMMER AFTERNOON.

I appreciate everyone's work on this. It was not my intention to withhold information however I did not expect such a deep dive

I have an additional photograph of the same car I will post this afternoon.
