1969 GT500 Convertible 1/25 Revell model build
« on: July 07, 2018, 04:50:27 PM »
After many years sitting in the box, I finally finished up this kit. It's built right out of the box except for the decal for the lettered tires that were purchased from the aftermarket. The kit includes a both a convertible top and a boot cover.

Amazing work.  I admire those that have the skill, eyesight, patience and dexterity to get this kind of result. 8)

Where are the jig circles on the bottom of the frame rails? :D Just kidding . It really REALLY looks great . It must have taken a long time to build.

Thanks again everyone!

I've lost some points for no jig circles on the frame. An easy fix.
It's also missing the convertible floor pan connecting brace. Not easy to fix as the exhaust hangs to low (also, no part in the kit).
There's a few other funky details too. Check out the rear quarter extensions and the trim inside them. The cut lines don't line up.

Here's a photo of the newer '69 GT500 Revell kit with an aftermarket resin body GT500 Grabber Blue convertible I built over 20 years ago.
The Grabber Blue would be a driver by comparison.

Great job Rich,
Can you make a 1970 Gulfstream Aqua GT350, #1204 for my friend Roland in Sweden.
Would like to give it to him as a thanks for always helping me with my 67 when I am in Sweden
in June every year. Just kidding, I should make one myself even though it will never come close to the results
you achieve.
