I have a friend who is interested.  Does anyone know the Shelby number, or have any info about it?  Comments welcome.

For the Experts, does the Thermactor System look close to correct?

It does meet your close to correct criteria IMO. There are other original assemblyline detailing attempts that are incorrect but you probably saw all of those .

The listing notes a Marti Report and original Shelby Paperwork.
You could call them or send an email to ask for copies in advance of the auction.

I tried to figure out the Shelby ID, but there's not enough info in the ad.
It can be narrowed down to about 51 Nightmist Blue cars with a 4spd, Thermactor, & black interior.
Somewhere in the VIN range of #0450 - #1350 by those options, assuming all are factory installed.

If you get info from please let us know.

Rich,

Too bad that the wheels look to be aftermarket. If the wheels were original you could narrow it down to less than a dozen cars.

Rotisserie restored to concours condition by a marque expert Who likes LeMans stripes. (I'm not dissing stripes, I swear.  But 'concours', 'expert' and 'stripes' don't usually go together)

I tried to get info out of Mecum a few years ago.  Never received a call back or email.  Where's the damned "head-knock" emoji when you need it!! Maybe things have changed.  Good luck.

I'm new here, hoping to learn after a number of old Mustangs. Finally, need to fulfill a Shelby itch I've had for 40 plus years. Anyway, I did see the Mecum listing and emailed for the Shelby vin. I did receive an answer - 67402F2A01284.
So, I'm curious, what is wrong to the trained eye of this group? Thanks

I do remember this car for a particular reason.
It was originally shipped to Massachusetts and had a thermactor system.

Funny story...
About three months after I purchased this automobile a gentleman called me about a 66 GT 350 he was selling.
It was a project and he gave me directions to his location.
It was 4 houses away from # 1284...
And the 66 was a carryover...

I had driven by it 2-3 times and it was under a car cover in the guy's yard...
