I think the light blue car on the in front of the Ford is a '55 Pontiac, on the right of the trailer I think thats another red '55 Pontiac, and the last car on the right, beige and white two tone might be a '55 dodge, I don't know my mopars well enough.
On the car hauler looks like it could be '55 Mercurys  ? ? front fender profile, and that slope to the rear looks a match ?

question for "propayne" or any one else. Is this one of those Gurney Cougars ? I don't think it's a GTE, grill isn't correct, plus those caps for the front fenders weren't chrome on any production car I don't think ?
I think it has the scoop added. A XR-7G would have fog lights in the front valance and a GTE would have been painted argent from the lower body line down with trim separating it. And no production chrome end caps.

Hey there Honker - sorry, I didn't see your question earlier.

Tinman is on the money - looks like someone added the GT-E scoop to a more pedestrian 1968 Cougar. Though anytime you see that you have to wonder if maybe it is a GT-E with a repaint and the GT-E unique grill and side molding removed. The derelict Cougar in the posted photo has had a repaint plus the end caps that are painted silver or chromed.

As I'm sure most of you know, the G and GT-E scoops are very similar but different. They were both produced by Smith Plastics (A.O. Smith).

Shelby American's involvement in creating a special Cougar began in 1967 with the XR-7S. Whether or not that was going to be a Shelby-branded Cougar is not clear at this point - but eventually the XR-7S was split off into two Cougar models for 1968, the XR7-G (which stayed with Shelby Automotive with conversions being executed at A.O. Smith) and the GT-E which Ford brought totally in-house.

1109RWHP, great pics ! in your post #1069 above, the red #44 Cobra next to the Corvette, is that Jerry Hansen's CSX 2026 ? I noticed the rear bulkhead is drilled for lightness, that's not factory is it ?

In 1072 is CSX 3031, with Shelby at the wheel.
