While 'enjoying' the shutdown I've been going through car photos. Came across this from Telstar Motors in SD. Not sure of the date, maybe late 90's. A nice collection!

Man, I hadn't heard that name in years.  Brings back memories.  I remember reading in the old Mustang Monthly magazines (80's) about Telstar Motors and hoped one day I could get them to restore our 69 Mach.

I was only in my mid 20's, and thought, at the time, that'd be so cool to get our Mustang restored by such a reputable restorer.

Funny, how a recall of someone's name brings back memories.

Pretty much one of every premium Mustang model line on that lot. Picture looks older than the late 90's tho.

80's?  I see the solar collectors on top. When I graduated HS in '82 I got a part time job before starting tech school. It was with a heating company and we installed some of those solar collectors.

So, even early 80's to late 80's still would be a possibilty on the photo  ;D

Let's just say that Telstar was manufacturing it's own data and leave it at that. I don't want to mix it up with the lawyers.

Best advice is to get a Marti on the car BEFORE you buy one.

Do You know something ShelbyDoug that should be shared?

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

"MT" = Mickey Thompson.  Looks like his drag race team.  Before they used 18 wheelers, even the large teams were using trucks like that.

I the "last century" when racing was affordable, the "Pros" used ramp trucks for the "tours" . It became a tradition is some towns to "parade" the cars on the open haulers to heighten enthusiasm for the weekend's race. In other cities ( like mine) it was popular for out of town racers to use a particular hotel near a big resort like our Disneyland. The Sandman Hotel ( long gone now) was a favorite hang out as they had a "fort like layout so the transporters could park by the respective rooms for more security. The racers actually enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and were allot of fun to hang out with since there wasn't any 'racing pressure".
Now days the "entertainment" has blown things out of proportion and teams have up to 5 or 6 semis in some cases ( Force).
