I stand to be corrected, set me straight here  :-\ 1969 season, Revson & Kwech Shelby (blue) cars ?  Jones & Follmer Moore (red, black & white) cars ? Or do I have this turned around  ::)  I think that over the course of the season some other drivers stood in ?
I think both of these photos were at Michigan ? It was the first strictly  all T/A race of the  season after Daytona and Sebring.

The Shelby cars had several drivers and the cars sometimes changed numbers to make it even more confusing. Dan Gurney also ran and so did Sam Posey. The Bud Moore cars were easy. #15 Parnelli Jones, #16 George Follmer.

1109RWHP, thanks for posting that photo ! Rich, I have a couple of other pics from the same photo shoot of that car, they were I think from the Fran Hernandez site ? In the one profile shot I have you can see those are Torque Thrusts. By the time they started preseason tests at Michigan International they had the Daisy wheels, and you are right in that later in the season they switched to Minilites.
I will try and post a photo here, from Michigan and see if it works with the new system.
I think there was a separate thread before for Trans-Am cars ?

Mike (honker)

Thanks Mike,
I have that photo and the two others from the same day dated 5/11/69.
That seems late for testing when the first race of the season is also noted on the same day.

I can't recall a separate thread for the T/A cars

None of the 69 team cars ran torque thrust wheels. It was 200s wheels at the beginning of the season and then when they started breaking the slowly switched over to minilites. This is the prototype 69 Trans Am Boss 302 car. 9F02R112073. It was a Shelby team car.

Thanks for the info on the torque thrusts, these early photos, and the VIN.
Great Stuff Here!!!

My notes have 073 listed with its first race appearance on 7/20/69 Bryar Motorsport Park; Loudon, NH “Herald Traveler Challenge Trophy”
It seems to have been a replacement for Kwech who wrecked 628 at Donnybrooke
