I remember pricing out a 68 XR7 302 4v, a/c, automatic for $3200.

One of the unknowns though, because I saw this with late 67 GT350's was Ford would give dealers incentives.

Those numbers were confidential but it enabled dealers to sell at a profit below their normal costs from Ford.

I remember 67 GT350s that you could buy new for $2800 in New Jersey. It wouldn't necessarily be co-ordinated with incentives for Mustangs so in many cases made the Shelby's a couple hundred cheaper then the Mustang.

I guess these fit the definition "random" photos  ::)... my brother has been digging thru a box of negatives that came from a great-uncle's house.
The license plate is 1926 in one of the pix. That is "Uncle Al" standing next to the car... he would have been about 40 in 1926
The tire-changing episode has no other info.

Really, that's how everyone dressed back then. Look at most photos, even Men laborers working would be wearing a suit and tie. Maybe in those times that was the norm. Lol, shorts, T-shirt's and sneakers wasn't around yet, maybe in sports?

BTW, very cool Antique photos?!  Should I have used the word "Vintage"? :o

I missed most of the discussion. Are you referring to me as "Antique or Vintage"? I prefer the term, "historic".  ;)

Pic from around 1930 of my wife’s young father, her grandfather, great grandfather and great grandmother. Chevy dealership that ran from 30’s to mid 90’s. Prior to the Chevy dealership her great grandfather horse traded Ford Model T’s and cattle. Dealership, more correctly the barns, were located in the northern Catskill mountains of upstate NY.
