Since that pic of the Mustang at the hill climb garnered so many comments, here is one more of the same car, but not as dramatic.

I don't think so, as the rear tires would have punched through their flares.  ;D

From the TV it looks like it's FE powered, but since I am small block guy I can tell what size it is. I am betting the Big Block guys can  ;)

That is a recreation of Ed Roth's (of Rat Fink fame) "Mysterion".

The original had two 1963 390ci engines and a C-6 brand new from Ford.

The two big blocks were so heavy that the frame kept on cracking so Ed sold the car. It passed through several owners and was eventually parted out and scattered to the winds.

From what I've read, a GM die maker by the name of Dave Shuten built this painstaking recreation.

Another piece of neat trivia: unless they sold it, the "New Mysterion" is owned by Galpin Ford.

Hey, does that thing actually run or they just tow it around to show the kids in the peanut gallery?

What else can you do with two boat anchor engines and a bunch of left over tubing, fiberglass and plastic? That was the advanced shop class project right?

I like the car with the hot tub in it better. At least you invite the strippers from the local club out for a ride in it?

I saw these cars at Amelia and some of Rat Fink's cars don't have radiators!
Most were driven onto the show field but weren't 'running' very long.
Yes, I do believe Galpin does own some of these cars.
