The old - no seat belt on head (hopefully not all of it) through the windshield then back in again action. One of the reasons they started using laminated glass for windshields in the late 30's.  Chest is going to be aching also - - first place to start normally after the ABC's  ::)

Looks like the Shell answer man is first on scene

the caption with this photo says " Ford tested the Indianapolis engine in a big Galaxie on the Daytona track in November 1962. lap speed was 146.7 mph on gasoline (with carburetors) and milage was 6.4 mpg"

This is from Car Life magazine, November 1963 issue .

Any ideas where and when this '67 and Mk. IV where shot ?

Might be SAAC 39 at Road America. The '67 GT350 #2577 was there with the same "37" door number.

I have never seen this canon on a Get Smart car before. Was this installed for the TV series? Or was it to get slow drivers (like me) out of the way during a SAAC convention parade laps.   ;D

^^^ I always figured that this car was an Alpine (4-cyl)... no way to fit that gun under the hood with the 260  ::)

You are right. There is not enough room for that canon to fit under the hood. With the SB 260, the air filter lid will just clear the hood. But the sheet metal work looks good  ;D

Some info here about the Get Smart Sunbeams, including an image of the AMT model kit (I have that model) the Sunbeam has been rereleased recently, but I'm not sure if it has all those spy car parts ?
