I'm not much of a T-bucket fan, but I have been considering installing the GAA in a 1955 Thunderbird I have, it would give a new meaning to the V8 badges on the fenders, and I think I would be one-uping ol' Carroll Shelby in the big engine in the small car dept;............ just haven't found the "adapter kit", you know, the one with "everything" one would need for the install!
Randy, yeah, the goal would be sort-of the Rat Fink car look, maybe with a shorter shifter handle thou.
Side-Oilers , dual two barrel Strombergs, but kinda big! In excess of 500 H.P. @ 2600 (& +) R.P.M.'s & 1000+ ft/lbs torque from just off idle thru the usable R.P.M. range. Goggle the Ford GAA engine as there is much information out there, and although I enjoy the topic, I'm afraid someone may cry foul, as we may be straying from the thread topic, and I fear not all appreciate dinosaurs.
BUT, THEY WERE COOL, EVEN BEFORE COOL WAS!
Scott.
