Then SAI employee Bernie Krechmar (sp) towed that car around to various dealers for display. At some point a dealer called SAI and asked if they were ever going to pick it up as it had been there for MANY months. SAI hurriedly dispatched a truck to pick it up .

HA, it's sounds like they might have forgotten about it, or just got to busy to worry where it was.

That Facebook website said the car was in the UK when the photo was taken. However, with a Bronco towing it and not a Transit van, I would think that photo was taken in the States.

gt350hr & Richstang, Not a Shelby related  ;)  but the GT40 left at the dealers Reminds me of a story by Bob Wallace, development and test driver for Lamborghini. when he came to the US he opened a shop in Phoenix, he maintained a fleet of  super cars for GM at their Mesa Arizona desert proving grounds. they misplaced a Ferrari for six weeks, finally found it in one of the out buildings at the facility !

Totally forgot I had this....took it about 20 years ago at the PNW Historic vintage races at Pacific Raceways, back then called Seattle International Raceway.

Don't remember the car number or owner, I'm sure someone here does...

The Fiberfab Mustang kit was designed by Larry Shinoda and looks pretty darn cool when done right.

Well, you can find the 1968 photos on my website because that where they originally came from.

I dont have time to chase everyone that wants to take random photos without context, attribution or permission.

Sad, the forum has no adult supervision
