Unfortunately, the info isn't noted there. I will try to contact the admin to contact the source of the photo with the girl on the hood of the Group II coupe.
John and Mary Ellen Wilkens are mentioned as the owners at that time and Mary Ellen appears in the photo courtesy William Culkins.

Roger Penske is the consummate business man.... He is in bed with anyone that will right a check, big checks! Look at his record- Chevrolet- Ford- Dodge - Mercedes and even AMC ;) He also made them run better than ever before his involvement, that speaks volumes ;)

          It was horrible and rarely made a full pass Lil John Buttera (rip) had the idea and Mickey always wanted to be the innovator so they built it.  The car was too stiff , smoked the tires , went sideways, had tire shake like crazy and was HEAVY. That is why only one was built and it survived in near pristine condition. The car resides ( for the moment) in the NHRA museum at the Pomona Fairgrounds out here.

.   For me personally,that is kind of exactly the opposite of what I am looking for in a mustang..

Exactly,  Personal preference ::)

Anyway, a friend of mine restored one and this month Mustang Times has a write-up on one.

Rare for sure! But like you guys always say, that don’t make it valuable.

Whoever it is, he's very lucky the Cobra wasn't 1 foot more to the left!
