National Council, Mustang Club aprox. 1967.  I see the Mustang 11 show car there  8)

Any idea what track this might be at ?

Mike

Thanks for pointing that out !  I had the wrong caption in post # 401, I've corrected it !  It's the Mustang 1 show car from 1962.

These Mustang "corrals" were set up at different track along with the Trans AM races. We can see the Chevy Rig in the background.
In 1968 The corral was at Bryar Park. In 1969 it was at Watkins Glen. I'll have to look for where it was in 1967 or might have been.

We know there was a parade in Bridgehampton with the White '67 GT500.

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

^^^ That picture looks to be from the mid-70's, not the 60's.

I don't think so. Shel was all grey by then. I never saw him "chunky". It was always like he forgot to eat again. Typical of a WWII pilot. Tall but slight of build.  Even so, that's a great frameable pic.

That one is gonna' hang around for awhile I think?

Micky Mouse? Sure...one of the favorite battles tunes of the Marines in VN. "Micky Mouse Club Theme".

He is wearing Addidas Superstar basketball shoes, first released in 1970 and later made popular in the mid-70's by Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

I grew up in the 70's. I know my 70's athletic shoes.

Are you sure they're not K-Swiss? :)

I agree with 2112, they're Addidas. Did he cut the cuffs off the bottom of his blue jeans too? What a trend setter he was.

Yes the slightly frazzled look at the hem line was in, had them on most of my jeans it was an LA thing back then. Still kinda like it just like my OP and LIGHTNING BOLT cords pants from same era. ;)
