Well...there's no visible side vents in the Culver City Ford ad.

     '58 Pontiac Chieftain I believe.    ;)

Maybe he needed more traction to get up the driveway, looks like the "drag-tires" are mounted on the wagon?      ???

I saw these photos in a discussion on FB "AC Cobra" page.
the story & photos from Terry Evens, the car ID'd as CSX2157, photos circa 1964.

OK, here's a good "Is it the same Cobra?"  Notice the license frame...Culver Motors Ford in Culver City.

The other pix is one we've discussed before...from Culver City High School's yearbook in 1964.

Same Cobra?

Good eye!

Here is what the owner said in one of his comments on how he bought the car:  "Bought it at the Ford dealer in Culver City, California in November of 1963 and sold it back to same dealer."

Very cool!  I wonder if he was from Culver City?  I grew up there.

Cool Cross-ram intake. That thing had have been reving to the moon to make use of all that fuel and air.

Yes, I think you are right. I removed the 5.66 gears from the rear diff, transmission was also a crash box. Found some low 12 second time slips in the car. The car was getting its rods stretched for sure. Would enjoyed seeing the car run back in the day, it will be running again soon.

I had the 5.67's in my BOSS 302, ran 11.20's for the previous owner in the mid 70's.     :)

I do not think they are the same car, since the photos of 2157 show that it had the narrow flares and 5 1/2" wide wire wheels from the factory, while the car in the yearbook photo has the later style.

The one in the Year Book has No Roll Bar and looks like Deeper Wheels.
