Two '68 'verts, one modified, that wouldn't be the # on the license plate ? I don't have a '68 registry.

Mike

Coralsnake

259 would not have those reflectors

We are not expecting any suspension travel?

Black 68 vert I'm sure is Wayne Curry's(RIP) old car, I will have to look at old pics and see what the license plate # was.
Stroked 427 Tunnel Port, he drag raced it with big slicks & aluminum slots. If those are IL plates I bet it is.
Especially with the 10 spokes blacked out. I have pics of myself along side of that car in my black 68 fastback on drag strip somewhere.

pic could be from Tulsa at drag strip??? In fact that is probably his 4 speed KR "tow vehicle" in front!

This is Wayne & me in my 428CJ 68 fastback racing at St Louis International in late 80s early 90s

I guess he had to have top up there for safety lol

Better pic of my car, same track different day.

This is(was) Wayne's, (#326) on the way to Charlotte for the Mustang 30th in 1994. Somewhere in the Smoky Mountains, 4 of us in car so no room for a spare tire!!

Car had something like 275xxx miles on it. Supposed to be Silver Jade, somewhere in Louisiana last I heard about it.

I was running 11.60s with basically stock 428CJ with LR 2x4 intake and a big solid flat tappet cam. Really good converter and 4.57s. Pump gas, drove to & from strip most of the time. Runs decent for what it is! Still have car.

Wayne was running low 11s, 427 TP with C6 and a lot of gear. RIP Wayne, thanks for the memories buddy!!

good, simple times for sure!

mikeh, thanks for your reply, and the additional photos of the Curry car. Wayne Curry also had CSX3201 at some point.
