Help With Identifying Symbol on Magstar Cap

No. 26 has it's original Magstar center caps with emblems, although they are currently installed on a set of reproduction rims.  Each emblem is a non-embossed snake, as would be expected on a double digit car, but they have turned silver.  On it's underside, they have a dark orangey-red adhesive (see pic).  I gently removed them to save them for prosperity sake, and noticed one cap had this symbol painted on it.  Does anyone recognize it?  Has anyone else found such thing?  Interesting that it would be there from the factory.  Perhaps it's a symbol for Kelsey Hayes?  Or it's an ancient language proving that they first 100 cars really were built by aliens?

I have seen it before . I always thought it was a derivative of a KH trademark. I have bought them in them in KH blister packs before.

If you rotate it 90 degrees CW its appears to be the stylized initials SR if that is a clue

Magstar used the tri-emblem as their company label/emblem. Red, white and blue with the lines that we see in the ads and on the over the counter wheels and center

Maybe the cap was made for another retail outlet

Did Sears & Roebuck have auto centers that sold KH wheels aftermarket?

Yes. Don't recall the emblem they had on their wheels but that is a possibility

those were from wheels that were purchased from sears. also note that the orange paper was used on back of a lot of emblems as far as service parts went. not sure of purpose, it wasn't sticky and I never got it to peel off. maybe where you put adhesive? phred

That orange was the adhesive. It was dried up by the time many of the service emblems got around to being used. You had to use different additional adhesive added over the dried orange adhesive to get them to work.

It definitely resembles some crop symbols that I have seen pictures of. Conspiracy advocates will say aliens. Trumpests will say illegal aliens.

I think the SR's were used on Sears marketed wheels in the '60s?

Wow, you guys are good.  Amazing you figured out that was Sears And Roebuck.  I swear half of you should be detectives.

It was a common adhesive that can be seen on many of the Shelby emblems.

Yes, Sears sold the Mag Stars as did a number of other retailers.

There were some other Kelsey Hayes center emblem designs as well...

What would the far right emblem come on? Just a non-Sears aftermarket retailer?
