Motor is coming along and need information on the Carburetor. Does this have the diesel switch set up and was a spring attached to the carburetor for the throttle cable return?
Appreciate any help

There is a spring that goes under the linkage (attaches to the throttle arm at the bottom) that goes rearward to the throttle bracket that attaches to the two rear carb mount studs, also holds the throttle cable in place also

No electric switch used at the throttle arm like on the Boss 302

No electric switch as mention. Here is a 69 GT350 carb shot from a vintage magazine that may help.

What's this talk about a diesel? Is it just a switch in name only?

The term "dieseling" is also referred to as "run on" which is what the solenoid is designed to eliminate

Oh, I didn't know that. I have a lot to learn about engines.
