Gauge/Speedometer rebuild restoration

On the old site, several people had made recommendations for speedometer and gauge restoration.

I failed to write it down thinking I could always reference that information later.

Could we again get recommendations for this?

Thanks

Yes he does.  He can even take a 120 MPH speedo and turn it into the 140MPH for those building a clone (like me)...another lil'Red is on the way.

I used this place to restore my Faria console gauges with good results.

Steve Duke - HIGHLY recommend him. I just picked up my finished gauge cluster and accompanying dash panels, and door inserts.  Man, I didn't know original stuff could look so good! I'll post pics soon.

Did he also do the mechanicals? Is it to stock or upgraded for your project?

Yes, he did all the mechanicals, refinished the chrome via the original vacuum process, polished my lenses, replaced the blue "bulb covers", all the seals, all the aluminum inlays, ohm'd my original harness - the works. He even fixed my clock! ;)

He did it all with all with my original parts; which allowed me to drive the car with the aftermarket dash in the meantime while the originalparts were getting refinished. Words can't describe how amazing it looks. My originals lens are crystal clear.

Again, I'll shoot some pics later.  But, know that he used all original parts (sans the aluminum inlays), and even got the door inlays from the same cut as the dash pieces, so they match 100% across the board.

One more note: if you replace the aluminum inlays, it's EXTREMELY important to get the same finish across the entire dash and door inlays. Not only can non matching stuff look bad, but it can get you points deducted during judging.

Just FYI.
