I'm curious - how can you tell if a package tray is original or a reproduction?  I know that you can verify which cars had them, but I'm curious to know the difference between a real versus a reproduction package tray.

BTW - pictures would be MUCH appreciated!  ;D

Thanks!

I've run a repop for 38 years, good luck finding a original

Thanks for the picture, Jeff!

BTW - how is the center strip of wood held on? It looks like it's glued, but not sure.

Thanks!

That picture looks familiar. Not sure why you added your watermark to my picture, Jeff.

Ruben,

Contact me directly for any questions on the package tray. From the pictures that I have seen of your package tray, you have an original. Here are pictures of another original tray.

Awesome pics, Brant!

Here are some pics of my tray. I removed the center wood piece, as it was screened through the middle of the tray.

But, I should say that I kept the wood piece, though!  ;)

The soft ware on our site automatically does that when stored there.  Didn't mean to suggest I had ownership nor meant anything by it being added. Picture I used had been drawn on and lacked your watermark so removed the drawing but didn't remove anyone else's (your watermark)

Sorry for any concern it might have created

Are there any records that tell which 66 cars came from SA with the ABS package shelves?  I assume it was also a Ford, over the counter available option also?
Thanks, Karl

I'm almost certain that Howard Pardee would know the exact number.

Hi All,  Here is the pair of support braces I made by reverse engineering from an original pair.   I was able to find the exact aluminum angle for the trap door catch and had the "Z" brackets made professionally.    Any body with a repop or original tray missing these pieces could use these pieces to make their tray more functional. What do you think?

Take care
