1966 GT-350 White/ blue for sale. New lower price
« on: May 21, 2020, 09:45:07 PM »
1966   Shelby   GT-350   Original    black   CA   plates,  engine,  floors,  quarters.    Original   blue,  no stripes.   In  registry, #2082.   Includes Auto (C-4)   and  Ford  4-speed (top loader).    Southern  CA   Steven356911@gmail.com  $127,500 / offers.

I purchased this car in 2002 from owner #4 (I think he was #4) in southern CA.  At that time it was a 4-speed and the original engine.  The 1997 registry showed it as a manual trans car.  I pulled up the right front fender to see the Ford VIN, it matched the number on the block, called Howard Pardee and he confirmed that was the correct Ford VIN over the phone.  Drove it home to the San Diego area with no problems at all.  It ran fine and shifted great.  Always and still does.   Once it was in my garage, I discovered it to have a Ford 4-speed and not the original BW.  I was ok with that as I assumed the BW broke and it was replaced with a Ford Top Loader.  At this point, I did install a new Hurst Comp. Plus shifter.  Several years later, I purchased some shipping documents from Howard Pardee and they showed it to be an Automatic car.  So I did some research and found owner #2 that actually owned it the longest period of time.  He confirmed that he bought it with the Auto and converted it to a Manual Trans.  This also explains why it had a 3:50 Rear End.  He also had installed a Detroit Locker in the diff.  I had a built 289 on an engine stand in my garage for another car but installed it into the Shelby to save the original engine.  The original engine will go with the car.  Due to a very bad left knee (yes, it has been operated on but still not great), I decided to build a C4 and install it.  The Ford Top Loader, radiator, pedal assy. And all the linkage also goes with the car.  I had intensions of changing the rear gears to a 3:25 but had a good 3:00 9 inch down in the shed so I installed it to see how I would like it.  As it turned out, I really liked the 3:00 and have never gotten around to changing it.  The original 3:50 Detroit Locker with tag (complete pumpkin) also goes with the car.  I have the original front seats as well but they need to be restored/recovered.
Please call for more information on this car.  760-390-3365.  If I canít answer, please leave a message and I will call you back.   Currently in north San Diego County.  Runs great, awaiting a new owner. Lowered price, wife wants it gone!
