65 Shelby GT 350
« on: September 14, 2018, 04:05:43 PM »
I have a Frend that wants to build a 65 GT 350 replica but with a Coyote engine. I know he will need to stiffen the 65 to keep it from twisting. Is there a kit that would be like what Shelby used?
that
Thanks
Jack

Most repro items can be purchased from Tony Branda

Good luck with the project

Zray, a forum member, offers a really nice lower cross member support that also has a integrated jack pad that clears the Cobra pan. I think the single piece export brace and Monte Carlo bar are available from Brant (forum member) Virginia Classic Mustangs as well as other aftermatket suppliers. The challenge in installing a Coyote engine are clearing the existing spring towers.

I recall that Mustang Monthly has done an article or two on Coyote resto-mod installs in early Mustangs.  You might check their index.  Mustangs Plus might have parts as well.
