... not sure I appreciate that link while I'm going through the forum with my kids- I have tried to get them involved with the cars and one of the things we do is read through the forum from time to time. There is a time and place for everything, and that stuff shouldn't be here. Garage poster pin ups are one thing, that's different.

Anyone else agree-

My sincere apologies, but I didn't knowingly add any link let alone that one.  I don't know what to say as I have two small kids myself.

Just wondering what it was? It actually was offensive? A nude picture? A drug reference?

About the car; seller tells me doortags are often changed to an new one during restorations.
Front tag is in place that should prove it to be a real Shelby, wouldn't it?
Original doortag is not with the car.

Saying door tags are often changed is an overstatement. I would guess probably less than 1 percent. Most people want the original tags with the car. And in most cases there is really no reason to replace the tag.
The front tag does not prove it to be a shelby.  The are many factors in determining if the car is an original shelby or not.

Okay, thats fine. What happens when another car shows up with the originall door tag on it?
Is he wlling to guarantee that will never happen?

The authencity of the car is determined by its history and all of its stampings and tags. If those tags have been replaced or altered, I think its reasonable to ask some questions.

Numbers can be restamped, just like tags can be replaced.

Probably nothing to worry about....
