Is there a fix for the bowed hood on 68 KR ?

of course there is and its not that hard.  on a nice hot sunny day.  lay the hood on a blacktop driveway on a soft blanket.  Lay another soft blanket on the top . Measure the distance to the highest arch and when the arch comes down to the distance you need stop.   get a couple of 20 pound bags of bird seed or something that will conform to the hood.  I ve used glass beads. careful put them on the highest part of the arch and watch it go down with the heat.  no sun  you can try body shop heat lamps but be carefull with that

try heating fiberglass with a heat gun sometime.  It gets soft.    Keep in mind after you get this fixed, theres a 600 Lb furnace under this hood  and if you are out for a drive.  when you come back in.  pop the latch and the hood pins and let all that heat out
