Thanks for sharing. I'm guessing you bought it back in '82? It has to be part of the family by now.

My Grandfather would love those white walls! He wanted me to get them for my new Mustang convertible back in the late eighties. Yikes!

Yes, we bought it in '82 when we were 22 years old. The original owner bought it when he was 22 years old. It is definitely a family member at this point. Still had the black California plates on it and I was able to peel the stickers back to the original one from 1967. The whitewalls were the first thing to go. Couldn't afford to buy new tires after buying the car, so had to live with the same tires with the white walls on the inside for a few years. The next change was Lemans stripes.....Here's a more recent picture.

Interestingly enough 10 days later in 1982 I bought my first  "real" Mustang with money saved from a paper route as a sophomore in high school... Dark moss green '67 "A" code 4 speed GT fastback .  Still have a want for a Shelby at some point  but paper route money not gonna cut it now! Amazing we both still have these cars!
