Disappearing act
« on: October 13, 2018, 01:12:26 PM »
Apparently there was a post that was put up last night that was taken down or censored. Any comments as to why? Do others see it?

Happens a lot around here....  this is the only forum I know of or ever seen that allows you to delete posts.

I think that I know the post that you are mentioning.  I won't go into it but it was disturbing.  However, with saying that there's 3 sides to a story his, hers and the truth.

If the person who posted it want to elaborate its up to him.

Interesting, the post was removed.

But, the forum allows so much other stuff to continue without so much as a comment.

Sometimes the censoring makes things more interesting and makes people have a greater interest.

Yes that seems to be part of human nature and now more will want to know what they missed.

Kind of like when parents tell their kids "DON"T LOOK"

It is very much a two edge sword.

Yes Tim, I too saw it. For the person it was directed at, and what it implied (at least the way I understood and or interpreted it). It was next to impossible to defend. The person did try. I was floored.

I too was there that day.

To be that distraught (OP) and for it to be posted.
That was creditably and character destroying with no recourse. I'm glad it was taken down.

There are no winners here..... Its a bad, bad situation where one man is dead... one mans reputation is in question, and one very pissed off family all involved. We can only hope there will be some way to make things a little better.

The content removed was old news and not appropriate for the Forum

Thanks

"Old news" or not it would be good to know the "issues" concerning display parts that were inadvertently sold against the owners wishes was in fact resolved.
