Show the world your Shelby colors
« on: October 18, 2018, 07:06:08 PM »
Just got back from a 2-week trip to Italy. Wore my Shelby hat almost everywhere, including to the Roman Colosseum.

The only interesting cars I saw on the entire trip were two Alfa Spiders...a Series 1 and a Series 2. They were traveling together with a pair of newer Fiats along the Adriatic Coast.

Where have you been recently, and what cool cars have you seen?

Bonus points for flying your Shelby colors.

I've heard of bringing some spare parts on a trip but bringing a spare car to drive you to the repair shop is a new one?

Wow, that's quite the find.  What did you buy?

We went to Rome and points south. Including Positano and elsewhere on Amalfi Coast. Near Napoli.

Kind of disappointed we didn't see more interesting old cars.

But now their affiliation with Chrysler fixed all that. Lol!

That was cruel. Actually I have a soft spot for Challengers, Barracudas, Superbirds. And the 440 and Hemi both old and new are quite the engines.

Yes, I know...so where were they all hiding? The weather was sunny all but one day out of two weeks there.

You would think that somebody would be out in their old car, somewhere.

You need to figure out when one of the Italian classic car organization is having a “tour “..These things are typically hundreds of miles long and go from town to town with a wide variety of cars ,mostly European, and of various vintages..One comes through San Giuliano every summer and it is quite a sight as they parade into and out of town...Cool Stuff!!! Ciao
