1970 Shelby Cobra GT 350. Number 1625.

Candy Apple red with black interior, gold stripes, four speed, 3:25 traction lock axle and has approximately 84000 original miles on the car.

This Shelby was sold new in National City California and by 1974 it had been imported to the UK and was being offered for sale by Brentford Sports Cars in West London.
A Mr Stevenson of Surrey purchased the car from them and kept it in his possession for the next 30 + years.

I purchased the car in the early 2000ís and proceeded to supervise a restoration back to factory specifications.  The car was sent to a company who stripped it to a bare shell and placed it on a rotisserie, ready for the restoration to commence.
As the previous owner had always garaged the car, there was only a very small amount of bodywork to contend with, so all the original quarters, doors, floors etc. were retained, as were all the fibreglass panels.
All the mechanical components were rebuilt and are also original to the car.
Since the restoration, the Shelby has been meticulously maintained and driven sparingly in dry weather only, it therefore remains in outstanding condition.
I have a large amount of invoices that relate to the expenditure on the restoration, plus the many parts shipped in from the USA, it totals to a significant amount.
This Shelby Mustang retains its original engine and 4 speed gearbox. It drives very well and is ready to be enjoyed and shown if desired.
Note: The car is located in the United Kingdom. Pictures can be supplied if required.

Car is now sold.
